Throughout the evening, Russian missile and drone strikes have caused power cuts in multiple districts of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv.
Nine people were injured while residents in the city's east were experienced blackouts and dealt with interruptions to drinking water, per reports from municipal leaders.
At the same time, a young boy was lost their life in a distinct aerial attack in the southeastern region in the southeastern part, based on information from area administrators.
Moscow has escalated assaults on energy facilities over the past few days, while Ukrainian leadership has demanded "real steps" from allies to apply pressure on Moscow.
"The necessity is not symbolic gestures but decisive action - from the America, the EU and the major economies - in delivering protection systems and enforcing penalties," was stated in a social media post.
He said that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and over thirty projectiles targeted energy facilities, describing such attacks as "premeditated" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as winter approaches.
Government representatives said Russia was "conducting extensive attacks" and technical staff were striving to repair systems.
A series of attacks struck power facilities and civilian homes in the capital.
Multiple people wounded in the strikes on the capital have been taken to hospital, according to city authorities.
Regional authorities said the city endured significant strikes during nighttime hours. A seven-year-old child lost their life and several individuals were wounded.
The assaults succeed periods of aerial attacks in the territory, sections of which are occupied by Moscow's military.
The entire country is in a state of readiness for advanced weapon attacks, which are more difficult to detect.
Authorities told the media that Russia was deliberately attempting to damage the country's energy grid, with assaults already affecting energy systems.
Officials stated technical personnel and authorities were bracing for additional strikes.
